Robin's Nest is a 1 BR apt. There are windows in all rooms including the
bathroom. The new kitchen has stainless steel appliances and
cherry wood cabinets. It's fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, and a toaster, microwave & blender (sorry, no dishwasher). The
bathroom features Durango limestone walls and floors and a Kohler
sink. The shower has a large shower head and is also a full
bathtub. The bedroom has a closed shelf closet and a cabinet desk with a pull-out shelf for a laptop.
The apt. is light, airy and quiet. It faces the back and looks out onto the other buildings' landscaped courtyards (north and west light). It is up one flight of steps besides the few steps to enter the building. Robin's Nest is small, yet quite charming. The bedroom is completely separate (down the hall) from the sitting room/kitchen area. There are two closets in the apt. It is very comfortable for 2-3 people. 4 people will find it a bit snug, but manageable. There is cable TV (flat screen), a DVD player and internet either on the Macintosh Emac computer provided, or with your own laptop (we have wifi). There is a phone with unlimited local and long distance calling throughout the USA. Supplies include a vacuum, broom set, swiffer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer... hopefully all that you need to feel right at home. Just bring your clothes, toiletries, cell phone and laptop! We have laundry machines in the basement.
The 2nd apartment, Windy Nest, is a mirror image of Robin's Nest. It has a more modern decor and a slightly different view but also faces the back and is quiet (north and east light). It is up one more flight, thus two flights from the ground floor. The kitchen and bathroom feature the same renovations , tiling and appliances. Photos of Windy Nest are displayed below after Robin's Nest pix, and are labelled "Windy Nest".
